The Henry County Fair is hosted every year during the month of October in McDonough for a week. Annual fairs and cultural events are held by several communities throughout the year. McDonough also hosts the Geranium Festival in May. Stockbridge is home to the Old Stockbridge Days Festival in May and Locust Grove celebrates Old Locust Grove Days in May, as well. The Fairview Fall Festival is held each year in early October.

The Henry county fair features family friendly, activities and events for visitors of all ages. The Henry County Fair offers wonderful food and carnival rides. Residents of Henry County take pride of their fair as they know that the fair represents more than the carnival rides that attract countless crowds. Visitors to the county fair join together to celebrate their agriculture. The Henry county fair also offers competitions, exhibitions, livestock, auctions, music, and even a petting zoo. Many business and civic leaders volunteer their time to make the fair a success.
